The Center for Honeybee Research is proud to promote the 2017 WNC Beginning Beekeeping course on March 4 and 5th, 2017 at the Folk Art Center Auditorium at Milepost 382 on the Blue Ridge Parkway in Asheville, NC. Registration is open to the general public and is available online here.
Cost for the approximately 12 hours of instruction is $45 per person. Hours are 9:00 AM - 5 PM Saturday and 12:30 - 4:30 PM on Sunday.
The curriculum is designed to cover everything a first time beekeeper NEEDS TO KNOW in the course of their first year managing honeybee colonies. Presenters will include experienced beekeepers from throughout the southern Appalachian area.

The 2017 WNC Bee School is a cooperative effort between the Center, the Blue Ridge Parkway Service, the Buncombe County Beekeepers, and volunteers from throughout the region. The Center is entirely staffed by volunteers and is an IRS approved 501-C (3) charitable organization whose purpose is educating and promoting honeybees to the general public. Proceeds from the School help fund the work of the Center.
